Trooper Fred. Sturge Redfern. killed in action, was the son of the late Mr. Geo. Redfern, who for many years carried on a photographer business in Auckland. Deceased was well-known in the Greenhithe district, where his mother and sister now reside. Amongst his brothers are Mr. G. Redfern, of Takapuna, Mr. J. Redfern, of Paparoa, and Quartermaster Sergeant Arthur John Redfern, who has been reported wounded.
