On the 13th May, at the residence of the bride, by the Rev. H. B. Redstone, Mr. Charles Sorrell, of Melbourne, to Sarah, youngest daughter of the late Mr. William Lawes, builder, of this city.

There passed away at his residence, Milton road, Napier, on Friday, one of the most esteemed and best known residents of the town, in the person of Mr Charles Sorrell, photographer, who settled in business in Napier in 1884 and retired in 1916
